Maui Film Festival at Wailea
The Seawatch Restaurant plays its part each year as one of the sponsors of the Maui Film Festival at Wailea, while film buffs gather under the stars at one of the festival's venues, the Celestial Cinema. Festival directors Barry and Stella Rivers enjoyed another year of enthusiastic crowds as the festival kicked off in the Wailea Resort area on June 11, 2008. Honorees attending the 2008 festival events included actors Pierce Brosnan, Virginia Madsen, Dennis Quaid and Felicity Huffman, who all received awards for their achievement in film. The 2009 Maui Film Festival will take place from June 17-21. |
Maui Calls
This annual affair brings together a host of Hawaii's top chefs and pairs their food with the wines of several world-renowned winemakers as a fundraiser for the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Maui Calls 2009 will be held at the Cultural Center on Friday, August 14. |

Wendy's Champions Skins Game
Formerly known as the Senior Skins Game, this golf tournament, which played annually on Wailea's Gold Course, was hosted by The Seawatch Restaurant for seven years. This popular competition celebrated its 20th year in January of 2007, but moved to the Royal Kaanapali Golf Course in 2008. The Seawatch Restaurant congratulates Fuzzy Zoeller and Ben Crenshaw for their 2009 tournament win. |
Taste of Lahaina
The Seawatch Restaurant has participated in Maui's largest culinary festival several times. This event showcases many of the island's top restaurants each September, with 2 days of food and wine tastings, cooking demonstrations and live entertainment. The Taste of Lahaina & Best of Island Music Festival was cancelled in 2008, but "Maui Chefs Present," a related culinary event, took place at the Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua on September 5, 2008. The date for the 2009 event is still pending - check back. |

Taste of Wailea
This Wailea culinary fête, which features well-known South Maui chefs, coincides with the Maui Film Festival at Wailea. The Seawatch has participated in this affair several times since 1995. The 2008 event took place on the Wailea Gold & Emerald Golf Courses on June 14, above The Seawatch Restaurant. Check back for announcement of the 2009 Taste of Wailea. |
Terry Fox Dinner Gala
Chef Todd Carlos joins several of Maui's finest chefs in this annual fundraising event that takes place each fall at The Four Seasons Resort in Wailea. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and The Cancer Research Center of Hawaii. This event has not been scheduled for 2009. |

Wine Dinners - Cakebread Cellars
Chef Todd Carlos has paired his signature Coastal Cuisine with several top winemakers, such as Dave Ready, Jr. of Murphy-Goode. The Seawatch recently presented a wine dinner that featured several outstanding wines from Napa Valley's Cakebread Cellars. The menu included pairings such as a 2005 Cakebread Cabernet Sauvignon with a ballotine of Moulard duck confit and seared foie gras, with an ohelo berry glaze. Corporate Events
The Seawatch Restaurant has been the destination of choice in Hawaii for corporations such as Ameritech, BMW, Airbus, Allergan, Anheuser-Busch, Volvo, Jaguar International and JTB. The restaurant has hosted events for as many as 1,200 guests, at galas such as BMC Software's "Symphony Under the Stars." |
