Maui Film Festival at Wailea
The Seawatch Restaurant annually plays its part as one of the sponsors of the Maui Film Festival at Wailea, as film buffs gather under the stars at one of the festival's venues, the Celestial Cinema. The 2007 festival took place from June 13-17. Festival directors Barry and Stella Rivers produced an event in 2007 that brought record-breaking crowds to the Celestial Cinema. William Hurt was honored at this year's festival as the recipient of the 2007 Navigator Award, while actress Claire Danes received the Nova Award. |
Maui Calls
This annual affair brings together a host of Hawaii's top chefs and pairs their food with the wines of several world-renowned winemakers as a fundraiser for the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. The 2007 event was held at the Cultural Center on August 11. |

Wendy's Champions Skins Game
Formerly known as the Senior Skins Game, this golf tournament, which played annually on Wailea's Gold Course, was hosted by The Seawatch Restaurant over the last seven years. This popular competition celebrated its 20th year in January of 2007, but will be moving to the Royal Kaanapali Golf Course from February 23-24 in 2008, where the team of Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus will be defending their title. |
Taste of Lahaina
The Seawatch Restaurant has participated in Maui's largest culinary festival several times. This event showcases many of the island's top restaurants each September, with 2 days of food and wine tastings, cooking demonstrations and live entertainment. Taste of Lahaina 2007 took place September 14-15 at the Lahaina Recreation Park II, behind the soccer field. |

Taste of Wailea
This Wailea culinary fête, which features well-known South Maui chefs, coincides with the Maui Film Festival at Wailea. The Seawatch has participated in this affair several times since 1995. The 2007 event took place at the Wailea Gold & Emerald Golf Courses on June 16, above The Seawatch Restaurant. |
Terry Fox Dinner Gala
Chef Todd Carlos joins several of Maui's finest chefs in this annual fundraising event that takes place each fall at The Four Seasons Resort in Wailea. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and The Cancer Research Center of Hawaii. This event was not scheduled for 2007. |

Wine Dinners - Cakebread Cellars
Chef Todd Carlos has paired his signature Coastal Cuisine with several top winemakers, such as Dave Ready, Jr. of Murphy-Goode. On March 13, The Seawatch presented a wine dinner that featured several outstanding wines from Napa Valley's Cakebread Cellars. The menu included pairings such as a 2005 Cakebread Cabernet Sauvignon with a ballotine of Moulard duck confit and seared foie gras, with an ohelo berry glaze. Corporate Events
The Seawatch Restaurant has been the destination of choice in Hawaii for corporations such as Ameritech, BMW, Airbus, Allergan, Anheuser-Busch, Volvo, Jaguar International and JTB. The restaurant has hosted events for as many as 1,200 guests, at galas such as BMC Software's "Symphony Under the Stars." |
